Server-side Scripting Language Options

Decide which of these scripting languages you like the best and then choose a hosting service (in step 4) which can accomodate it (should be offered at no additional cost). You then embed database access logic (a.k.a. SQL statements), written in this script, within the HTML of your web pages as required. This script is automatically resolved, and the content of the page adjusted, before the page is sent to the users browser.

Server Side Database Options

Decide which of these databases you like the best and then choose a hosting service (in step 4) which can accomodate it (should be offered at no additional cost). Have your host create an instance of a database within your own area. Access the database from your control panel to create your database tables and indexes. Write special scripts (see above) to populate these database tables with data. It is this database that the SQL scripting language in your web pages (see above) will access and display.

WYSIWYG Database Tools

These are powerful development products which also allow you to easily incorporate the database SQL scripting into your web pages.
